Dairy Wives Convention

So I am not a Dairy Wife but.... my grandma is :) and my mom, aunts, and the grandaughters have been going to this for a long time. This year I finally took off work and went a few weeks ago (still catching up). Lunch was great and the motivational speaker was Mary Nickels from Channel 2 News. She has a really fun personality and had a great little message about taking care of yourself... sure pedicures, facials and that sort of stuff is nice but she was talking of screenings...and seeing the good old Dr. so that you will always be there for the ones you love and the ones that love you. She was really funny and sweet. After that we walked around the little shops of Gardner Village. SO much fun to have a little day with the girls!

I Love the Fall, Love the pumpkins, Love the leaves, Love Halloween, Love Witches, Love it all....

BYU vs USU

A few weeks back we went up to Logan to the BYU vs Utah State game. GO COUGS! They won! (not as big of a blowout as we could have hoped for...but they won) And I am a BYU fan ok!!! Let me explain... I lived in Cougar town for 2 years and if I had to pick someone to cheer for in College... that is who it would be. I have a brother-in-law (Jed's sister Kristi's hubby) who is a huge BYU fan and has season tickets but refuses to wear the BYU attire. He wears blue to the games and that is about as far as he will take it. Then I have two brother-in-laws (my older sister's hubbies) that grew up in Pleasant Grove and have been surrounded by crazy BYU (zoobies they call them..ha ha) their entire lives so I don't think either of them would really call themselves BYU fans. What team doesn't have crazy, obsessive, "thinks their team is the best" kind of fans though. BYU gets a bad rep for fans for some reason but you're all thinking of the zoobies and not all BYU fans are zoobies. I am going to leave Jed's opinion out of this because I feel like it :) :) Come what may... I am a BYU fan. (even if they lost miserably to TCU)

We went to the game with Ash, Tyler, Jayson, and Melissa. Lots of fun!!! Jayson is Tyler's cousin and also a 3-year flag football buddy of Jed's. After getting something to eat at Olive Garden...we headed to the game and it was perfect weather.

HOMECOMING DANCE

Back in September (I am SLOWLY catching up) I did Dani's hair and makeup for the Box Elder High School Homecoming Dance. Dani went to the dance with her boyfriend Thomas and they made an adorable little couple that night...

Dressing up is so fun!!! As you can see Halley wanted in on some of the posing action. My parents were babysitting. Halley and Brinley while Britt and Jer were out of town for a few days.

The #1 Summer Moment...

I made an honest effort to play catch up on the entire summer but I just couldn't do it. I AM SORRY! The computer was uploading the pictures too slow, I was getting irritated trying to setup the timeline of the summer in an organized manner, and the site went down for maintenance for about 25 minutes during all of this. I am almost gave up on blogging altogether! Excuses I know but there is too much and those I really care about sharing this with were there with us for the most part this summer. And I want to tell you what we are up to NOW. So I quit with the summer catch up and decided to share we you the #1 best part of my summer....

June 16 was our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Being married to Jed is a pretty special experience. He is an amazing husband and my best friend. He is my inspiration and my life! He is the most understanding, compassionate (.....sexiest) person I know. And he is going to make the best dad EVER! I am so excited to have kids with him. They will adore him as I do. I am so thankful each day to be married to him. We had a really fun summer together... from doing just nothing to everything. We had lots of fun with our families and made lots of good memories together.

The Top of our Cake...a year old

Most of the coconut has fallen off...

Jed loves Rainbow chip so I made sure the top of the cake was just that....thought it might help increase my chances of getting him to eat it a year old....IT WORKED!
